8th International Purple Festival Honoring Women; Keynote Speaker: NJ Secretary of State Tahesha Way

HALEDON, NJ – Event USA Entertainment is proud to present the 8th International
Women’s Day Awards Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, March 11th at 7:00pm at the
Haledon Fire Company Hall located at 522 West Broadway, Haledon New Jersey.
The annual celebration will highlight the valuable contributions of various women that
help to build a more cohesive, safer and stronger community. Their outstanding
leadership helps to promote civic engagement, to influence and inspire others to be
their best selves and to give of their time and talents to empower others along the way.
Prior to the awards ceremony, a plenary session will be held between the hours of 3:00
pm and 6:00pm, including important topics such as “breaking the bias,” women’s
physical and mental health, women and technology and a youth panel centered around
future goals.

In addition to the New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way, who shall serve as the
Keynote Speaker, other special guests shall include: Passaic County Chairman John
Currie, Assemblyman Benjie Wimberly, Passaic County Commissioner John Bartlett,
Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh and First Lady Farhanna Sayegh, Prospect Park Mayor
Mohamed Khairulah and former Council President Anand Shah, Haledon Mayor
Michael Johnson, Paterson Council members Lillisa Mims, Ruby Cotton and Forrid
Uddin, as well as Commissioner/Chief of Staff Carol Cuadrado representing Senator
Nellie Pou, among other dignitaries from the City of Paterson and surrounding areas.
