Press Advisory: Action Together New Jersey will host Live Stream Q&A with Senator Cory Booker
Madison, NJ – On Wednesday, March 14 at 7 p.m., Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ) will host an online Facebook Live event with Senator Cory Booker for their members and allies in which the Senator will discuss legislation before Congress, update activists on the issues and take questions from the viewing audience.
The event aims to connect activists with their Senator and give them an opportunity to ask any questions they have ahead of the work they’ll be doing to register voters and get people to the polls. ATNJ plans to host a series of similar interactive sessions in coming months, to give members accessibility to their elected officials and to encourage open dialogue. Questions will be accepted in advance and also taken during the live stream.
“We appreciate the opportunity to connect with our Senator and to hear updates about the causes that matter most to us,” said organizer Christine Clarke, Environmental Policy Director with Action Together New Jersey. “Personally I’m looking forward to hearing more about the Environmental Justice Act and efforts to oppose toxic nominees to the EPA. I hope the Senator will receive and have ample time to answer many questions.”
“Our statewide activist group has been working hard over the last year to defend the people of New Jersey and protect the public interest,” said Uyen “Winn” Khuong, Executive Director of Action Together New Jersey. “Hearing from our Senator is so appreciated given the countless hours, effort and care our teams have poured into protecting our ideals and our values.”
Anyone interested to watch and participate may “Like” or “Follow” ATNJ’s public Facebook page to be notified when the event goes live on March 14.
Questions in advance may be submitted through a Google form provided by ATNJ or by email to christinec@atnj.org.
