Applauds Senate Right to Work Bill

Trenton, NJ – Americans for Prosperity-New Jersey (AFP-NJ) announced support for S-3254, the New Jersey Right to Work Act, which was introduced yesterday by Senate Budget Chairman Tony Bucco. The New Jersey Right to Work Act frees employees from being forced to join a union and pay part of their hard-earned paycheck to an organization the worker may not support. Americans for Prosperity is a leading advocate for right-to-work legislation, most recently in Missouri, which in February became the 28th right-to-work state.

“Right-to-work laws protect all workers’ freedom to decide whether to join a union,” said AFP-NJ State Director Erica Jedynak. “Also, states with right-to-work laws see better economic, income, and job growth, something that New Jersey – which ranks 48 out of 50 states for economic outlook and is a forced-unionized state – sorely needs. The New Jersey Right to Work Act means more freedom, more choices, and more jobs for New Jersey workers.”

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) exists to recruit, educate, and mobilize citizens in support of the policies and goals of a free society at the local, state, and federal level, helping every American live their dream – especially the least fortunate. AFP has more than 3.2 million activists across the nation, a local infrastructure that includes 35 state chapters, and has received financial support from more than 100,000 Americans in all 50 states.
