Toms River, March 8, 2018 – While repeatedly claiming he won’t take corporate PAC money, far-left phony, Andy Kim has been busy “wheeling” corporate PAC contributions into his campaign account through other sources, charged the MacArthur for Congress campaign today.
According to Federal Election Commission records, Kim’s campaign has received at least $12,000 in contributions from entities that have combined to raise nearly $2 million from Corporate PACs this year alone, including from frequent Kim targets like big pharma and oil and gas companies.
“We don’t have a problem with Andy Kim accepting corporate money; we have a problem with him lying about it. Andy Kim’s claim that he doesn’t accept corporate PAC money is as dishonest as a getaway car driver who claims he had nothing to do with robbing the bank,” said MacArthur strategist Chris Russell. “Andy Kim has collected thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from entities that are flush with millions of dollars in corporate money. Just because a middleman took the money from the PAC and then gave it to Mr. Kim doesn’t mean he’s not benefiting from it. Mr. Kim’s dishonesty on corporate PAC money is only exceeded by his hubris in thinking nobody would notice and call him on it.”
The MacArthur campaign said Kim only has two choices in the matter: 1) Admit his wheeling of contributions is a gross violation of his own pledge, or 2) Return the money he has taken from any entity who has received corporate money and refuse all similar future contributions in the future, including from the DCCC.
