Assembly Budget Committee to hold Public Hearing on Proposed State Budget

 

(TRENTON) – The Assembly Budget Committee will meet Monday for a public hearing on the proposed state budget for the fiscal year that starts July 1.

The hearing will start at 9:30 a.m. in Committee 11 on the 4th Floor of the State House Annex in Trenton. Audio of the hearing will be streamed at http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/media/live_audio.asp.

Monday will mark the final public hearing before the committee meets starting 10 a.m. Wednesday with the state treasurer and Office of Legislative Services to get a budget overview and state revenue estimates.

“This is a three-month process to finalize a state budget that meets the needs of our families and builds a strong economy,” said Assembly Budget Chairwoman Eliana Pintor Marin (D-Essex). “We’ll be here to listen and learn as we start a thorough and thoughtful review of this budget plan. As always, our priority is to protect New Jersey’s families.”
