Assembly Committees to Consider Funding for Victims of Crime, Elimination of Certain MVC Fines, and Ban of Liquid Nitrogen in Food and Drinks

Consideration of Employment Training Program Continuation and Discussion on Consumer Electronic Repairs Will Also Take Place

 

(TRENTON) – Three Assembly committees will gather today to consider housing, budgetary and consumer-related legislation.

The Assembly Budget Committee will consider bills regarding victims of crime and the State office that assists them. Also on the docket are bills to extend an employment training program for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients, and the elimination of certain MVC fines. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. in Committee Room 11, 4th Floor of the State House Annex.

The Assembly Consumer Affairs Committee will consider legislation prohibiting the preparation of food and beverages with liquid nitrogen. Members will also discuss the “Fair Repair Act” regarding the restoration of certain electronics. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. in Committee Room 13, 4th Floor of the State House Annex.

All committees will be held in the Statehouse in Trenton at 1 p.m.
