Assembly Oversight, Reform, & Federal Relations Committee to Hold Public Hearing on Marijuana Legalization
(TRENTON) – The Assembly Oversight, Reform, and Federal Relations Committee on Saturday will take testimony from invited speakers and the public on the impact of prospective marijuana legislation on the public health, criminal justice system and economy in New Jersey.
The hearing will start at 10:00 a.m. in the West Hall Parkview Room at Middlesex County College at 2600 Woodbridge Ave. in Edison.
“The committee is eager to continue this discussion as it pertains to the public health, criminal justice system, and economy in our state,” said Assemblyman Joe Danielsen (D-Middlesex/Somerset), the Assembly Oversight, Reform, and Federal Relations Committee chairman. “We look forward to furthering our education on this subject as we listen to various viewpoints and consider all arguments.”
This is the first of three Saturday hearings the committee will hold throughout the state. The second hearing will be held on April 21 at Rowan University and the third hearing will be held on May 12 at Bergen County College.
