ASSEMBLYMAN JERRY WALKER CONGRATULATES CELESTE WILLIAMS ON HER APPOINTMENT TO THE HUDSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER BOARD

First African American Woman to Serve on the Board

Hudson County, NJ — Assemblyman Jerry Walker issued a statement congratulating Celeste Williams on her historic appointment to the Hudson County Commissioner Board, where she becomes the first African American woman to serve in this capacity.

Assemblyman Walker celebrated Williams as the individual he recommended to succeed him on the Board, underscoring that her appointment resulted from his leadership and a collaborative effort among county officials.

“I am proud to congratulate Celeste Williams on this groundbreaking appointment,” said Assemblyman Walker. “From the moment I submitted her name, I was confident she possessed the integrity, dedication, and community-centered leadership required for this role.
