PASSAIC COUNTY–Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter today endorsed Chief Thomas Adamo for Passaic County Sheriff along with Cassandra “Sandi” Lazzara, Rodney De Vore and John Bartlett for County Commissioner.

Adamo has most recently served under Sheriff Richard Berdnik as Chief of the Law Enforcement Division in the County Sheriff’s office and Lazzara, De Vore and Bartlett have a long history of public service along with a dedication to the Democratic Party.  All four candidates were endorsed by Passaic County Democratic Chairman John Currie and the Passaic County Democratic Committee.

“I am proud to join Chairman Currie with this endorsement” said Sumter.  “I’m looking forward to partnering with each of these dedicated public servants to work towards the safety and quality of life on behalf of Passaic County residents.”

Sumter continued, “Sheriff Berdnik’s work within our many diverse communities spoke to his love of service and dedication to county residents and I commit to working closely with Chief Adamo to continue that legacy.  Chief Adamo’s long history of service are critical factors in my endorsement of his candidacy.  I intend to work with every Democrat to coalesce around his candidacy during this critical time in our state and our nation’s history.”
