ASW. SWAIN, ASM. TULLY APPLAUD LD38 SCHOOLS’ HIGH MARKS

School districts represented by Swain and Tully among top-ranking in state

PARAMUS, NJ, Aug. 13th, 2019: Data firm Niche has recently released comprehensive rankings of the top school districts in New Jersey, using a detailed formula that incorporates data from the U.S. Department of Education, test scores, survey responses from students and parents, and other sources.

Schools in New Jersey’s 38th Legislative District, represented by Assembly Members Chris Tully (D-Bergenfield) and Lisa Swain (D-Fair Lawn), perform particularly highly in these rankings. Six school districts in LD38 are ranked among the top 75 in the state.

Assembly Members Tully and Swain issued the following joint statement in response to this news:

“Rankings like these don’t capture the full story of how much the schools in LD38 are helping our students and our community, but we are immensely proud that our schools’ success is being recognized.

These high rankings are a credit to the hard-working teachers, administrators, parents, and caretakers of District 38, and most of all to the incredible young people who attend these schools.

Strong investment by the state in public education puts our students on a better path to success, improves the quality of life in our towns, and helps stabilize local taxes. That’s why we’ve helped secure over $20 million dollars in additional education funding for LD38 since we entered the Assembly last year, and why we will keep fighting hard to support public education.”
