Atlantic City Hires New Directors – January 22, 2019 New Planning & Development Director & Chief Financial Officer

Atlantic City, New Jersey (January 23, 2019) – The City of Atlantic City (COAC) has hired two new directors, both directors began work on Tuesday, January 22nd. The new hires speak to the action items laid out in Jim Johnson’s report titled Atlantic City: Building a Foundation for a Shared Prosperity, highlighting the need to build municipal capacity at City Hall.

Adetoro Aboderin will serve as the new Chief Financial Officer and Barbara Allen WoolleyDillon will serve as the new Planning & Development Director at the City. Both Ms. Aboderin and Ms. Woolley-Dillon come highly experienced and credentialed. Mayor Gilliam stated, “I am excited to add two new directors to my staff. The City has already hired Patrick Quinlan as the new IT Director and Marc Starling as our CDBG (City Development Block Grant) Director. I couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to move forward with the team that we are assembling.”

Patrick Quinlan began as IT Director for the City of Atlantic City in October 2018. Mr. Quinlan comes to the City with over 20 years of technology experience. Marc Starling began as CDBG Director at the City of Atlantic City in December 2018. Mr. Starling also comes to the City with over 15 years of experience in housing and development.
