ATU is Ridin’ with Rep. Mikie Sherrill for Congress

Kenilworth, NJ – Calling her a champion of labor unions, working people, and public transit, the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) International and the ATU New Jersey State Joint Council proudly endorsed Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill for re-election.

“Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill has a proven track record of supporting public transit and fighting for the rights of working families in her District,” said ATU International President John Costa, a former Chair of the ATU NJ State Joint Council. “Mikie was also a strong supporter of the bipartisan infrastructure bill, which our Union helped to get passed, and is now pouring millions of dollars into transit systems and important safety protections for our members. A friend of the ATU, Mikie has consistently stood up for the interests of our members and passengers.”

A former Navy helicopter pilot, former federal prosecutor, and mother of four, Rep. Sherrill since being elected to Congress in 2018 has been a strong advocate for the people of the Garden State. She is not afraid to reach across the aisle to improve our nation’s healthcare system, boost public transit, grow our clean energy economy, and fight for working families.

The ATU will be registering our members to vote, encouraging them to vote, engaging riders, and taking part in other actions in the all-out effort to re-elect Rep. Mikie Sherrill to Congress.
