Bayonne's Franco's HQ

PRESS RELEASE

Bayonne city council race heats up as Franco draws line in the sidewalk by opening his campaign office 20 ft away from Councilman Carroll’s headquarters.

In a packed room, city council candidate, Peter Franco delivered an impassioned speech that focused on the idea of a better Bayonne; highlighting a need for more education funding thru tax abatements and PILOT deals.

He talked about the need for tangible benefits for the people living in Bayonne today not just 30 years from now: infrastructure improvements, an animal shelter, pedestrian walkway across a state highway, and a recreation center and affordable housing.

Franco reminded his audience, of nearly 80 supporters, that the incumbent just wants to preserve “business as usual.” “They have offered nothing other than personal attacks but you can’t keep the lights on with personal attacks.”

Franco said “The people want to hear what our solutions are or in Neil’s case his excuses for why he hasn’t used his short time in office addressing the things he is now promising voters to do.”

Bayonne’s special election is just 28 days away. Four candidates Councilman Neil Carroll, Peter Franco, John Cupo, and Paul Hagdorn are vying for the seat.
