GIBBONS SPECIAL COUNSEL WILLIAM PALATUCCI SPEAKS IN GERMANY ON TRUMP ADMINISTRATION ECONOMIC POLICIES

(NEWARK – June 27, 2017)  William J. Palatucci, Special Counsel in the Corporate Department of Gibbons P.C. and former General Counsel to the Presidential Transition Committee of President Donald J. Trump, delivered presentations last week to three business audiences in Germany, focusing on the Trump administration’s planned economic and tax policies. These events occurred two weeks in advance of the 2017 G20 Summit, which is being held in Hamburg, Germany on July 7th and 8th.

Among the organizations to which Mr. Palatucci delivered his remarks was the Hamburg law firm Esche Schümann Commichau. He provided insight to that firm’s clients and key contacts interested in the economic, trade, and business implications of the current American administration. He also presented at the Bankhaus Löbbecke in Berlin for the Council of the German American Conference at Harvard e.V., the official support and alumni organization for the largest student-run conference of its kind, which itself holds educational programs and business networking events in Germany and the U.S. throughout the year designed to foster constructive debates on transatlantic issues.

For each event, Mr. Palatucci delivered “An Introduction to the Trump Administration,” covering the first few months of the administration and its economic and tax policy development, addressing key personnel and appointments; trade policy formulation; legislation, including tax reform; regulatory reform status; and current “hot topics” in the German-American relationship. Relying on his work with the Presidential Transition Committee and his extensive prior experience in business and politics, Mr. Palatucci was able to provide a unique perspective for German audience members and key background information for those interested in the upcoming G20 Summit.
