Belleville Mayor Michael Melham to Deliver His First State of the Township Address

The #BetterBelleville Civic Association has invited Mayor Michael Melham to give his first, and the Township of Belleville’s first, ‘State of the Township Address.’

This event will be held on the one-year anniversary of his team’s historic 2018 Municipal Election, and one-year from the Township’s mid-term Municipal Elections. To be held in the Grand Ballroom, the speech promises to be informative, high energy and entertaining; all things that have become synonymous with Mayor Melham’s short tenure. Mayor Melham will speak on what he feels the current State of the Township is, as well as his vision for the future and Belleville’s endless potential. Among the many topics Mayor Melham plans on addressing will be several interesting and possibly controversial topics, such as, redistricting; social justice; redevelopment and the current status of the Township’s services and facilities.

Confirmed dignitaries include: Senator Teresa Ruiz, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Assemblywoman Pintor-Marin, Assemblywoman Speight, Assemblyman Caputo, Freeholder President Gill, members of the Newark and Belleville Council, various neighboring Mayors.
