Benson & Jones on NJ Transit Welcoming
Additional Train Engineers
(TRENTON) – Applauding the progress NJ Transit has made to grow the cadre of locomotive engineers, Assembly Transportation Committee leadership, Chairman Daniel Benson (D-Mercer, Middlesex) and Vice-Chairwoman Patricia Egan Jones (D-Camden, Gloucester) issued the following statement:
“This is welcomed news for New Jersey commuters. It’s clear we have much further to go when it comes to staffing; but with another 40 engineers to join NJ Transit over the next year, we are finally on the right track.
“We look forward to working with NJ Transit, the governor and our Congressional Delegation to improve our transit infrastructure ensuring it matches the efforts being made to grow the workforce.”
