Bergen County NAACP to Host Annual Awards Event

Teaneck — The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Bergen County will hold its annual Freedom Fund Awards Brunch on Saturday, October 21st.

This year’s theme, “Steadfast and Immovable – Our Votes Count” underscores the mission of the nation’s oldest, largest and most widely-recognized grassroots based civil rights organization “to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.”

“No question about it, this will be an important event,” explained NAACP Bergen Country Chapter President Anthony Cureton. “We will not only honor some of Bergen’s most extraordinary people; we will also reaffirm our steadfast commitment to our all-important social justice mission.”

Hackensack attorney Jason E. Foy, Esq. will be the keynote speaker.

This annual awards event will held at The Terrace in Paramus from 11:30am t0 3:30pm.
