Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Launches Mobile App

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton announces the release of the “Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Mobile App” for iPhone and Android as a service to the residents of Bergen County. The app is available free of charge and will serve as a tool to keep the community well informed about the operations of the Sheriff’s Office.

After downloading on your smartphone or tablet, users can stay informed about important news and resources regarding the Sheriff’s Office through push notifications.

Users will also be able to access action items such as:

  • The submit-a-tip feature
  • Upcoming community outreach activity
  • Inmate lookup
  • Geographic sex offender search
  • Foreclosures lookup and information about sheriff sales
  • The ability to connect directly to the Sheriff’s Office social media accounts.

“Staying connected with the community in Bergen County is vital to accomplishing the mission of the Sheriff’s Office. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office App will significantly advance this goal by allowing the Sheriff’s Office to communicate efficiently with our county residents while offering them the opportunity to learn more about resources available to the public,” said Sheriff Anthony Cureton.

Please note the “Bergen County Sheriff’s Office App” submit-a-tip feature is NOT intended to be used to report emergencies. Sheriff Cureton reminds everyone that in case of an emergency to please dial 911.
