BPU Adds 2 More EMP Hearings in October

The NJ Board of Public Utilities (BPU) have added two additional hearings on the Energy Master Plan to their hearing schedule. The first will take place on October 4, 2018 at 4pm at the Larson Auditorium, Seton Hall Law School, One Newark Center (GPS- 1109 Raymond Boulevard) Newark, NJ 07102. The second will be held on October 10, 2018 at 4pm at the Campus Center, West ABC Conference Room, Rutgers University 326 Penn St. Camden, NJ 08102. The public comment period will remain open until Friday, October 12 at 5 p.m.

“The BPU has listened to the concerns of the people and scheduled more stakeholder hearings on the Energy Master Plan.  The two meetings will be held in Camden and Newark in October. This is important because this plan will affect everyone in New Jersey and many more citizens across the state would like a chance to speak on it. This plan will decide which direction New Jersey takes when it comes to energy and how we will achieve our energy goals,” said Jeff Tittel, Director of the New Jersey Sierra Club. “We need everyone to come out and tell the BPU that our state must be working to transition to clean, renewable energy and away from fossil fuels and the technology of the past.”
