TRENTON – The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee will conduct departmental budget hearings tomorrow on the spending plans for the Department of Labor & Workforce Development and the Department of Environmental Protection, said Senator Paul Sarlo, the committee’s chairman.
- The Department of Labor & Workforce Development – Thursday, April 4, 10:30 a.m., Room 4, Statehouse Annex, Trenton, N.J. Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo and other top officials will appear before the committee to discuss the implementation of the new minimum wage, the equal pay act, the expansion of paid family leave, and what actions the department is taking to find cost savings, among other topical issues.
- The Department of Environmental Protection – Thursday, April 4, 1:30 p.m., Room 4, Statehouse Annex, Trenton, N.J. Commissioner Catherine R. McCabe and other top officials will appear before the committee to discuss open space funding, reentry into RGGI, marine fisheries, and what actions the department is taking to find cost savings, among other topical issues.
