West Long Branch, NJ – Cape May County Republicans voted during their county convention Monday evening to endorse Kim Guadagno for New Jersey governor, securing the official Republican Party ballot line for the lieutenant governor in seven counties.

“Our campaign continues to build momentum because our message of creating a better New Jersey is resonating with voters,” said Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno. “Cape May Republicans want our Republican nominee for governor to be able to effectively make the case for auditing Trenton, lowering taxes and making our state more affordable for working class families. I am proud of my job creation record and steadfast opposition to higher taxes as lieutenant governor, and will continue to make the people of New Jersey my top priority as governor.”

“Kim Guadagno is a true friend of Cape May County,” said Cape May County GOP Chairman Marcus Karavan. “As secretary of state and lieutenant governor, Kim was the promoter-in-chief for New Jersey’s crucial tourism industry and helped guide the state through significant growth in tourism jobs and visitation over the last seven years. She knows what it takes to create, attract and grow jobs in Cape May County and will bring that knowledge and experience to the governor’s office to benefit all of our citizens.”

As the Cape May Republican Party’s nominee for governor, Kim Guadagno will appear on the official Cape May Republican Party line on the June 6th primary ballot. Guadagno has also earned the line in six other counties: Camden, Hudson, Ocean, Passaic, Salem and Warren.

Since January 17, over 300 Republican Party officials and local organizations from all 21 counties have endorsed Guadagno’s campaign, which recently exceeded the $430,000 fundraising threshold to qualify for public matching funds.
