Capital Impact Group Welcomes Ashley Caldwell as Government Affairs Associate

TRENTON, N.J. – Capital Impact Group is pleased to announce that Ashley Caldwell has joined the firm as a Government Affairs Associate following her tenure as a Government Affairs Intern.
During her internship, Caldwell supported the firm’s advocacy efforts through legislative research, policy analysis, client communications, and strategic government affairs initiatives. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to public service made her a valuable member of the team and a natural fit for a full-time role.
Caldwell earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She also serves as the youngest elected member of the New Brunswick Board of Education, where she has spent the past two years advocating for students, families, and expanded educational opportunities in her community.
Prior to joining Capital Impact Group, Caldwell gained valuable experience in public service through internships with the City of New Brunswick and the Middlesex County Courthouse. These experiences strengthened her understanding of local government, public policy, and the importance of effective civic engagement.
Caldwell’s commitment to public service is deeply rooted in her family’s legacy of civic leadership and education. She draws inspiration from her late grandfather, Rev. Dr. Gilbert H. Caldwell, a civil rights leader who marched alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as her grandmother, an educator who instilled in her the transformative power of education and community leadership. She is also inspired by her father, Rev. Dr. Dale G. Caldwell, Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State of New Jersey, whose career in public service has further shaped her passion for government and community engagement.
In her new role, Caldwell will contribute to Capital Impact Group’s work advancing clients’ public policy priorities and developing effective government affairs and public affairs strategies.
Capital Impact Group welcomes Ashley to this new role. Principal Gerry Gibbs said “Ashley has already been invaluable to our firm and clients, and we look forward to seeing her continue to grow.”
