CIANJ Hosts Earth Day Community Clean-Up & Team Building Event

April 23rd, 2026 (Rochelle Park, New Jersey) – The Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) proudly hosted an Earth Day Community Clean-Up & Team Building Exercise on April 22nd, bringing together members, partners, and volunteers for a morning dedicated to environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Held at Overpeck County Park, the event was organized in partnership with United We Serve, New Jersey Clean Communities, and the Bergen County Department of Health Services – Division of Environmental Health.

In keeping with CIANJ’s ongoing commitment to giving back, the event was free and open to all who wished to participate. Attendees formed teams to collect litter throughout the park, combining teamwork with a shared mission of improving the local environment.

The event saw strong participation from CIANJ member companies, many of whom sent employee teams to volunteer. Their involvement highlighted the business community’s dedication not only to economic growth, but also to environmental responsibility and community impact.

“Earth Day is a powerful reminder of the role we all play in protecting our environment,” said CIANJ President, Anthony Russo. “We are incredibly grateful to our partners and volunteers who came together to make a meaningful difference in our community.”

Through initiatives like this, CIANJ continues to foster collaboration, promote civic engagement, and encourage its members to take an active role in supporting the communities where they live and work.
