Ciattarelli Filing Accepted by NJ Supreme Court in Borrowing Challenge

Ciattarelli Legal Team to Argue Before Court on August 5th

Trenton, NJ, July 28, 2020 – Gubernatorial Candidate Jack Ciattarelli announced today that the New Jersey Supreme Court has accepted his campaign’s filing in the court challenge of Governor Phil Murphy’s plan to borrow nearly $10 billion.

“Last week, my campaign filed to challenge Governor Murphy’s reckless ‘borrow & tax’ scheme,” Ciattarelli stated.

“This afternoon, the New Jersey Supreme Court accepted our filing and allowed us to be heard on August 5th,” announced Ciattarelli.

“As I’ve said before, the Governor’s back-room deal to borrow $10 billion and saddle future generations with exorbitant debt, is an unconstitutional violation of hardworking New Jersey taxpayers,” explained the CPA (inactive) and former-small business owner. “If not challenged, the Governor’s scheme will result in higher taxes and a less affordable New Jersey for decades to come.”

Ciattarelli concluded, “This is a fight worth having, Governor. We’ll see you in court.
