Congressman MacArthur’s Statement on Supporting the Iranian People
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom MacArthur released the following statement after the House voted in support of the Iranian people:
The radical regime in Iran has oppressed the Iranian people for too long by denying them basic freedoms and propping up terrorist activities around the world. The Iran Nuclear Deal has done nothing to help the Iranian people and has only bolstered this brutal government. Americans cannot stay silent any longer and I’m grateful Congress was able to come together and condemn this regime’s actions while supporting the Iranian people’s fight for freedom and peace.
