Congresswoman Nellie Pou Endorses Veliky, Cruz, and Cassanova for County Office

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ-- Congresswoman Nellie Pou today announced her endorsement of Nick Veliky and Orlando Cruz for County Commissioner and Surrogate Zoila Cassanova for re-election in the June 2nd Democratic Primary.

Congresswoman Pou said the team has the experience, values, and commitment to continue delivering results for Passaic County families.

“Nick Veliky, Orlando Cruz, and Zoila Cassanova understand the needs of our communities because they have dedicated themselves to public service and helping residents,” said Congresswoman Pou. “They are focused on affordability, strong public services, and ensuring Passaic County continues moving forward. I’m proud to support them.”

Pou, who made history as the first Latina elected to represent New Jersey in Congress after decades of service in the State Legislature and local government, said strong local leadership is essential to strengthening communities across Passaic County.

The endorsement adds to the growing coalition supporting the Passaic County Democratic Committee team, including Governor Mikie Sherrill, legislators, county officials, mayors, councilmembers, and Democratic leaders from across Passaic County.

Nick Veliky and Orlando Cruz thanked Congresswoman Pou for her support and longstanding leadership for Passaic County residents.
