Councilman Arvin Amatorio Issues Statement on Fatal Stabbing in Bergenfield Late Sunday Night

BERGENFIELD, NJ — Late Sunday night, 43-year-old Bergenfield resident Uvaldo de Gabriel Aguilar was fatally stabbed near Portland Avenue. Bergenfield Councilman Arvin Amatorio has issued the following statement on the matter:

“My thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family. It’s jarring to have something like this happen in our beautiful town. I have spoken with Police Chief Madalone, and the department, with the help of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, is working around the clock to locate the individual they believe is responsible for this terrible crime.”

This stabbing comes as a shock to the Bergenfield community, which was ranked fourth safest in the U.S. by neighborhoodscout, and in January was ranked 10th safest by safewise.

Amatorio currently serves as the Bergenfield Council Finance Committee Chairman, and is Managing Partner of a law firm that specializes in Immigration Law, helping people come to our country to live the American Dream.
