CURRIE SENDS CONDOLENCES TO STEVE SWEENEY CONCERNING THE PASSING OF THE SENATE PRESIDENT’S FATHER

[Trenton] — New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman John Currie sent his heartfelt condolences concerning the passage of the State Senate President’s father, Robert, who worked as vice-president of the New Jersey AFL-CIO.

“Senate President Steve Sweeney has my deepest condolences on the passage of his father, Robert. Clearly, Steve, like his father, is dedicated to building stronger communities throughout New Jersey and standing up for those who need a champion. I know that his continued commitment to that legacy will be a lasting tribute to Robert Sweeney’s memory,” said Chairman Currie. “The thoughts and prayers of Democrats across the state are with the Sweeney’s at this sad time.”
