Empty Suit Gets Full Primary: Kean Jr. Gets Two New Potential Primary Opponents
Happy New Year to Tom Kean Jr.

Tom Kean Jr. was supposed to have the NJ-07 GOP primary in the bag, but his insider support isn’t scaring anyone away.

After so many failed attempts to run for office, he’s just gotten a rotten gift on the first Monday of the year – two new potential primary challengers.

Today, new reports from the New Jersey Globe revealed right-wing firebrand Assemblyman Erik Peterson (R-Franklin) will take on Kean Jr. in the already full primary, and America First Rev. Phil Rizzo may be readying a potential challenge as well.

This GOP primary is set to become a brawl to the wall on who can be the most conservative, unelectable candidate come November

James Singer, DCCC Spokesperson

“The NJ-07 GOP primary is shaping up to be a major headache for national Republicans, whose hand-selected candidate Tom Kean Jr. isn’t scaring anyone off.”
