DCCC Statement on Tom MacArthur Selling Out Constituents for Ivanka Trump Visit

Reacting to Representative Tom MacArthur’s event with Ivanka Trump to discuss the harmful GOP tax scam, DCCC Spokesman Evan Lukaske issued the following statement: 

“Last spring, Rep. MacArthur authored a healthcare repeal bill that would’ve increased premiums and gutted protections for pre-existing conditions and got himself a fundraiser with President Trump, and now he’s going to vote to hike taxes on middle-class families and get himself an event with Ivanka Trump. It’s pathetic that all it takes for Tom MacArthur to sell out his constituents is a photo-op with a member of the Trump family.”
