DEGESERO: NJ FAMILIES SHOULDN’T NEED A LOAN TO KEEP THEIR LIGHTS ON,
STATE SHOULD REVERSE COURSE ON MURPHY’S FAILED ENERGY MASTER PLAN
In response to the news that electric companies are giving customers a credit this summer that must be repaid next winter in order to keep their electricity on, Eric DeGesero, representing the NJ Propane Gas and NJ Fuel Merchants Association, issued the following statement:
“We know converting your house to electric heat is so expensive you needed a loan, but thanks to Governor Murphy’s failed energy policies, the BPU is now forcing the power companies to give us 0% loans, just so we can stay cool and keep the lights on this summer.
"The only real solution to this self-inflicted energy crisis is for New Jersey to reverse course on Governor Murphy’s failed Energy Master Plan immediately.”
