DEMOCRAT JOSH WELLE RAISES MORE MONEY THAN GOP INCUMBENT AND PRIMARY OPPONENTS

Red Bank, NJ – After further comparisons of campaign fundraising filings for last quarter, it has become apparent that Josh Welle, Democratic Congressional candidate for New Jersey’s 4th District, is successfully outraising not only his primary opponents, but the sitting Republican Congressman as well.

According to figures released by the Federal Election Convention (FEC), Smith has raised $63,324 in 2017 Q4. Welle, who only announced his candidacy in the fall, raised $181,243 in only 12 weeks, all from individual donations. Most of the contributions came after November 8th, as Welle was busy campaigning for local Democrats and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.

When asked why Josh Welle was so successful, Campaign Manager Mike Bland said, “People have noticed Josh’s ability to come up with solutions that appeal to both parties. The 4th District deserves a visionary who will build bridges. Josh understands that unity is key to a successful democracy. He represents a new generation of leaders.”

In the wake of a January stacked with 11 endorsements from prominent local Democrats, the Welle for Congress campaign hopes to continue the momentum. “Seven straight days of more endorsements are forthcoming,” says Bland.

Welle said, “I’d like to express my gratitude, not just for the contributions, but for the belief in the higher mission of serving the people of New Jersey over partisan rancor. Thank you to every single person who’s donated, volunteered, and attended events. There’s lots to do. Let’s get to work. Let’s go.”

Josh was born in New Jersey and raised in Monmouth County. He spent 12 years in active duty defending America abroad and is now ready to protect New Jersey’s interests here at home. Josh is prepared for the challenge, having deployed to Afghanistan to rebuild their economy and having served as the CEO of a small business. He stands ready to increase the number of 21st-century jobs, make healthcare accessible to all, and advocate for sensible foreign policy. Josh will be an innovative and bipartisan leader in Congress committed to solving real problems facing New Jersey citizens.
