Democrat Mayor Endorses Hugin

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ 一 Building on a continuing trend of bipartisan support, U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin today announced his fourth endorsement by a New Jersey Democrat, Branchville Mayor Tony Frato.

“The high stakes in the New Jersey Senate race are bigger than any political party which is why I’m proudly supporting Bob Hugin for U.S. Senate,” said Mayor Frato. “Bob Menendez has spent the last 25 years in Washington as an ineffective, corrupt career politician demonstrating time and again that he is only interested in furthering his own interests over the people of our state. New Jersey deserves better.”

Mayor Frato said Bob Hugin has a very broad, bipartisan appeal throughout New Jersey and that Menendez, in contrast, has failed the people of New Jersey.

“I have enjoyed bipartisan support throughout my years in public service and I have worked with people on both sides of the aisle to solve the problems our community faces. Bob Menendez has lost his way in Washington, where he seems to be serving himself instead of the constituents in New Jersey,” Mayor Frato said.

The mayor had served for 12 years on his town council before he was first elected mayor in 2010 to fill a one-year unexpired term. He was re-elected twice since then to four-year terms as mayor. Mayor Frato is a volunteer firefighter in the Branchville Fire Department and serves as the Sussex County Representative to the New Jersey Fireman’s Home in Boonton, Morris County.

“Bob Menendez’s track record of corruption and ineffectiveness are an embarrassment to New Jersey and I’m honored to have people like Mayor Frato who are willing to stand up and acknowledge this election is bigger than party politics. It’s about what’s best for the people of New Jersey. As Senator, I will do what I’ve done my whole life 一 bring good people together to get results,” said Bob Hugin.

Bob Hugin, a Marine Corps Veteran and business leader who has created thousands of New Jersey jobs, is running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Senator Bob Menendez. For more information visit bobhugin.com.
