Door-Door-Democracy Endorses Mikie Sherrill For NJ Governor

Sparta, NJ — Grassroots group Door-To-Door Democracy, which focuses on directly engaging and turning out voters in Republican-controlled counties, endorses Mikie Sherrill for New Jersey Governor. Door-To-Door Democracy believes Mikie is the best, most inspiring, and most electable candidate to lead New Jersey.

Chair Leslie Huhn said, “Strong Democratic governors will be our first line of defense against Donald Trump and attempts to roll back rights and prosperity in New Jersey. Not only is Mikie Sherrill a great candidate and public servant, but she will fight hard to protect New Jersey. From her first campaign when she flipped a Republican seat in 2018, Mikie has inspired a groundswell of grassroots support, and then got to work to deliver for residents — and this election will be no different.”

Trustee Joan Jacobsen added, “No challenge is too big for Mikie — her track record of building coalitions to win in traditionally Republican turf in Morris, Sussex, and western Essex Counties shows she is the strongest Democratic candidate to win in 2025. She earns our votes by focusing on improving things and building things, and will work to make our state more affordable so every person can get ahead.”
Founded in 2022 by rank-and-file Democrats, Door-To-Door Democracy is powered by nearly 200 volunteers who have contacted thousands of voters through postcards, phone calls, and door knocks. They have also created voter fact sheets on Project 2025 in English and in Spanish that have been used by activist groups in New Jersey and across the country.

In the run-up to the 2025 election, Door-To-Door Democracy will be mobilizing volunteers and supporters state-wide to help Team Mikie persuade and turn out voters, particularly in rural and Republican-controlled areas.
