CHERRY HILL – NJ CD-1 GOP candidate Josh Duvall released the following statement:
“On September 19, 2018, Camden Mayor Frank Moran, in partnership with Rep. Donald Norcross, hosted a forum to discuss the launch of ‘Camden Works;’ the next jobs program for Camden City residents.”

“I spoke with Camden City resident Tracie B. this afternoon, a young mother who has been looking for a job within Camden City Limits for more than two years. Here is what she said.”
“There are no jobs to be had in Camden. None. I’ve been looking for a job for over two years. I’ve found work outside of Camden, but it’s twice as hard to get there. I have to get up earlier, take a longer bus ride, and can’t get my kids where they need to go all the time,” Tracie said.
Duvall continued, “Tracie’s story is all too familiar for Camden residents. While unemployment across the nation is at or near historic lows, and for the first time ever there are more jobs available than people to fill them – Camden residents continue to find themselves out of luck.”
“Big business and big government teamed up for the EDA tax break scheme, but didn’t bother to follow through on their never-ending promise of more Camden City jobs.”
“If we want job growth in Camden, it has to be built from the ground up. Government can do two things: simplify and equalize the business tax burden, and decrease burdensome regulations to allow businesses to focus on growth. The consequences of government economic planning in Camden have been profitable for a few, but disastrous for most. Let’s get government out of the way and allow Camden businesses the freedom to develop, and grow, from the ground up.”
ABOUT: Duvall received his bachelors in Management, concentrating in Finance and Marketing from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and his Executive Degree in Financial Planning from the Fischer School of Business at The Ohio State University. Duvall currently runs his own financial planning and accounting business, and works with other organizations managing their marketing and online content. He also works with several non-profits, sits on the Cherry Hill GOP committee, volunteers with youth sports, and is actively involved in his local church. Duvall is a cancer survivor and is married with two young children.
