Early Support Coalesces Behind Kurtz for Assembly
Mayor Hanselmann, Council President Ricci, Committeeman Parker and Committeeman Ruggieri back Kurtz for Assembly
Atlantic City, NJ – Second District Assembly candidate Jesse Kurtz, who launched his campaign on February 3rd, today announced his first round of endorsements from across the Second District. The impressive list of elected officials cited Jesse’s unique ability to bring new energy and leadership to the race.
Egg Harbor Township Committeeman Andrew Parker enthusiastically voiced his support, “I have known Jesse for years and consider him a good friend. As a teacher in Atlantic City and Committeeman in EHT I see the commitment Jesse has for public service. Always there when you need him, he will not stop until he gets the job done and that’s exactly the energy and dedication we need in Trenton. Atlantic County needs an advocate and that’s why I’m thrilled to endorse my friend Jesse Kurtz for the Assembly.”
“Jesse is a fantastic candidate that has already fought in tough races and won. He is exactly what we need to be successful in November. I am excited to endorse Kurtz for assembly,” said Mullica Township Mayor Kristi Hanselmann.
Kurtz is a two-term Republican Councilman in Atlantic City and the organizer of the annual “Leadership Breakfast,” a statewide summit for young leaders during the League of Municipalities Conference. His tireless work on behalf of Republican candidates throughout South Jersey has helped grow the party and elect new Republican leaders.
“Having won multiple elections in Atlantic City and being such an effective elected official demonstrates Jesse’s energy and ability to communicate with voters and grow our party. He’s a great candidate to face the Democrats in the fall and I’m excited to endorse him for Assembly in the Second District,” said Egg Harbor City Council President Joseph Ricci.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Mayor Hanselmann, Council President Ricci, Committeeman Parker and Committeeman Ruggieri. I believe their faith in me is a clear sign of my district-wide support and that my message of conservative values and strong common sense leadership are what voters are looking for to fix Trenton,” Kurtz said.
Buena Vista Township Committeeman William Ruggieri lauded his support saying, “Atlantic County is hurting and we need a candidate willing to go to Trenton to stand up for us. Jesse is that person, he was born and raised here and wants to make it a place we can all stay. He has the proven leadership and energy it takes to get it done.”
The Second Legislative District covers a majority of Atlantic County, including Atlantic City, Brigantine, Buena, Buena Vista, Egg Harbor City, Egg Harbor Township, Folsom, Hamilton Township, Linwood, Longport, Margate City, Mullica, Northfield, Pleasantville, Somers Point and Ventnor City.
