FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 13, 2026 EMILYs List Endorses Analilia Mejía for
New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District Special Election
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Analilia Mejía for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District’s special election. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:
“Analilia Mejía is a fearless advocate for working families who has spent her career taking on powerful interests and delivering real results. She will bring that same bold leadership to Congress to raise wages, lower costs, and expand health care. EMILYs List is proud to endorse Analilia Mejía in this special election for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District as we work to protect this critical seat and take back the U.S. House.”
The daughter of immigrants, Analilia Mejía is a nationally recognized advocate for working families, who has built her career organizing alongside families facing the same struggles she saw her parents face growing up. As a union organizer, she led the New Jersey Working Families Alliance, helping win a $15 minimum wage, paid sick leave, and fairer tax policies for working people. As deputy director of the Women’s Bureau at the U.S. Department of Labor, she worked to expand economic opportunity for women and working families. Now, she is running for Congress because she knows this moment requires bold leadership and real representation for New Jersey’s working families.
