ENGLEWOOD DEMOCRATIC MUNICIPAL COMMITTEE ENDORSE

PHIL MEISNER FOR MAYOR

Meisner Announces Support of Local Democrats

ENGLEWOOD, NJ—Englewood mayoral candidate Phil Meisner announced that he received the official endorsement of the local organization.

“I am honored and humbled to have the support of the Englewood Democratic Municipal Committee at this pivotal moment in Englewood’s future,” said Meisner, who announced his candidacy after current Englewood Mayor Frank Huttle decided against seeking a fourth term. Englewood is a vibrant community, and I am committed to working with all of our community leaders and stakeholders to keep Englewood moving forward,” Meisner said.

The support of the local Democrats guarantees Meisner the “line,” or prime position, on the primary ballot in June; Meisner said his campaign will focus on reaching out to all segments of the community, knocking on doors, and meeting one on one with Englewood voters.

“The support of the party is an incredible validation of our campaign, but we have a lot of hard work ahead of us. A lot of blocks to walk, a lot of doors to knock, a lot of conversations,” Meisner said. “I am excited to get out there and connect with Englewood voters.  I am ready to do the hard work required to win the support of our residents, because I am very ready to do the hard work of leading Englewood toward a prosperous and thriving future.”

Phil Meisner is a long serving Board Member of Englewood’s Vincente K. Tibbs Child Development Center and has served on Englewood’s Economic Development Corporation and Englewood’s Board of Zoning Adjustment, the Mayor’s Commission on Budget and Finance, and as Vice Chairman of the New Jersey State Anti-Bullying Task Force. He is the former chief of staff for Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle and Assemblyman Gordon Johnson, and has served as a legislative director and aide in the New Jersey State Assembly. Meisner is currently the vice president and assistant general counsel for Hudson Media, Inc./Hudson Capital Properties.
