Essex County Leaders Endorse Councilwoman Jenny Mundell for Mayor of Bloomfield

 

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Bloomfield Mayoral candidate Jenny Mundell is very proud to announce that she has received the endorsements of four more Essex County Democratic leaders, including State Senate Majority Leader M. Teresa Ruiz (D-Newark), Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin (D-Newark), Assemblywoman Shanique Speight (D-Newark), and Newark North Ward Council Member Anibal Ramos Jr.

“I am deeply honored to have the support of such esteemed leaders who have done so much for our county and state,” said Councilwoman Mundell. “We share a vision of progress, inclusivity, and community, and I look forward to continuing our work to make Bloomfield an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.”

These latest endorsements join an esteemed, diverse list that already includes U.S. Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Assemblyman and former Bloomfield Mayor Mike Venezia (D-34), President of the Essex Board of County Commissioners Carlos Pomares, Councilwoman Sarah Cruz and numerous community leaders and residents. If elected, Councilwoman Mundell will become the first woman to serve as Mayor of Bloomfield.

“Jenny’s ability to unite her community and find solutions to complex problems makes her the ideal candidate for mayor,” said Assemblywoman Pintor Marin. “Her track record speaks for itself, and I am confident she will serve Bloomfield with the same passion and effectiveness demonstrated throughout her career.”

About Jenny Mundell:

First appointed to the Township Council in 2017, Jenny Mundell has since won re-election three times and has worked tirelessly to serve the community. She has lived in Bloomfield for nearly 15 years along with her husband and son, and she works as a Vice President of Development at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. As Mayor, Jenny will work to continue the progress that has been made in the community while focusing on open, transparent government, balanced and responsible economic development, public safety and community involvement.
