Female Mayors Of Union County Endorse Mayor Dahlia Vertreese for Re-Election
Hillside, NJ – Today, a group of female Mayors from across Union County gave their support for Hillside Mayor Dahlia Vertreese re-election campaign. The endorsement comes during Women’s History Month, while Mayor Dahlia Vertreese has been honoring female community leaders around Hillside.
“I am honored to garner the support of my amazing colleagues from the surrounding municipalities. Union County has been in the forefront of electing so many female Mayors to office and I am humbled to be one of them. As mayors, we get to work in unity with our neighboring towns to make progress and protect our residents. I have deep respect and admiration for the work they are doing in their respective communities and am honored that I have earned theirs as well,” Vertreese said.
Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr stated, “Mayor Vertreese understands the complexities of local government. During her tenure, Mayor Vertreese has successfully attained an A + bond rating, while negotiating new contracts for both the police and fire departments. She’s committed to her community. ”
“This pandemic has not been easy for any municipality. It required innovative thinking to create a new way to govern and Mayor Vertreese has stepped up to the challenge to keep Hillside informed while creating summer programs for the youth,” Garwood Mayor Sara Todisco stated.
“Mayor Vertreese will always put Hillside first and make sure that the residents are getting the best services.”
