Fire Safety Officials to Conduct a Demonstration Christmas Tree Burn and Highlight Holiday Fire Safety Tips

 

SAYREVILLE, N.J. – On Tuesday, November 28th Assemblyman John S. Wisniewski, Chair of the New Jersey Fire Safety Commission will join with Fire Safety officials at the Middlesex County Fire Academy to highlight important fire safety tips for the holiday season. Fire Academy staff and members of the New Jersey Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board will conduct a demonstration of a Christmas tree fire to highlight its flammability, the speed with which such a fire can spread, and the ability of sprinkler systems to contain the fire and minimize damage.

Campus Directions: Upon entering the campus of the Fire Academy proceed past Restricted Area sign and turn left onto South Access Road at blue sign for Lot B Visitor Parking. Proceed through open gate to stop sign and turn left. Building 4 will be straight ahead and is clearly marked. Parking is available to the right of the building.
