Steve offers the “bold, conservative leadership” New Jersey’s Fifth District deserves

Former presidential candidate and editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine, Steve Forbes, announced his endorsement today of Steve Lonegan in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District.

“I know Steve Lonegan to be a tireless worker and fierce advocate for taxpayers,” stated Mr. Forbes. “As a staunch believer in economic freedom, Steve understands that prosperity comes when you unleash the free market, get government out of the way, and allow the American people the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Steve has what it takes to stand up to the entrenched interests in Washington, D.C., and provide constituents in New Jersey’s Fifth District the kind of bold, conservative leadership they deserve. I am proud today to endorse his candidacy.”

With his endorsement today, Mr. Forbes joins several other prominent conservative Republican leaders in support of Mayor Lonegan’s candidacy, including Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Mr. Lonegan has also garnered the support of numerous Republican leaders throughout the state in his bid to secure the party’s nomination and unseat first-term Democrat Josh Gottheimer this fall.
