Freedom Thinkers Panel Discussion

Hosted By Hudson County Young Americans For Liberty

Jersey City – Hudson County Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) announced it is holding a panel discussion on outreach and education entitled Freedom Thinkers Panel in the private room of Dorrian’s Red Hand (555 Washington Blvd, Jersey City) on Saturday November 16th at 4pm. The event will highlight liberty and freedom thinking Hudson County organizations and local community leaders in a discussion of the methodologies they have used to advocate for freedom and liberty.

Panelists include Herminio Mendoza, President of the Hispanic Republicans of North Jersey; James Pillion, Young Americans for Liberty New Jersey State Chairman; Petra John, founder and President of Turning Point USA Bayonne; and Christopher Carbine, Hoboken Municipal Republican Committee Chairman. The event will be moderated by Hudson County YAL Vice Chairman James Dickerson with a welcome by NJ GOP State Committeeman and Hudson County YAL Chairman Joshua Sotomayor Einstein.

Pillion, the New Jersey YAL State Chairman said, “on some issues libertarians and conservatives share a similar perspective and work together, on others we are at loggerheads.” Pillion continued, “at the panel discussion we will examine those areas as well as how everyone does outreach in places that are controlled by command economics loving lefties and that suffer from the winner-picking top-down economics of the statist political class.”

Indeed, middle and working-class Americans are suffering in states, such as New Jersey, with high levels of job killing over-regulation, taxation schemes that are de facto wage theft by various levels of government, cost-of-living-increasing not-in-my-back-yard local policies, and the collusion of big business and big government. Despite Hudson County’s wealth, much of it lags behind the rest of the New Jersey in education, and New Jersey itself is a top contender for the least economic growth in the nation. Panelists will address how the freedom and liberty message of shrinking government overreach into every facet of our lives can repair and reinvigorate Hudson County and New Jersey.

NJ GOP State Committeeman Einstein stated that “everyone who is #walking away or has already walked away from the extreme left and its failed policies knows that it has ruined our state, destroyed so many lives, victimized home owners, and harassed people engaging in peaceful consensual activity.” Einstein continued, “it doesn’t mean we are always going to agree, but it’s time we work together to build a better future for Hudson County and for our state.”
