Garrett Giberson Announces Candidacy for Asbury Park City Council

ASBURY PARK, NJ — August 14, 2026 — Garrett Giberson today officially announced his candidacy for Asbury Park City Council, launching a campaign focused on restoring trust in local government and building a stronger future for every neighborhood in Asbury Park.

Running under the theme "A New Voice. A Stronger Asbury Park.", Giberson said his campaign is rooted in four core principles: Community First, Transparency Always, Responsible Governance, and A Brighter Future.

"Asbury Park is our home, and together we can build an even brighter future. I'm running because I believe our city deserves leadership that listens first, leads with integrity, and delivers results for every resident."

Giberson said the city has made progress over the years, but believes the next chapter must prioritize the people who live here every day.

"Our government should be open, accountable, and accessible," Giberson said. "Residents deserve to know how decisions are made, how their tax dollars are spent, and that their voices matter before not after major decisions are made."
