GENOVA BURNS LLC PARTNER SWORN IN AS NEW BOARD TRUSTEE WITH THE NEW JERSEY STATE BAR ASSOCIATION

Kathleen Barnett Einhorn will serve as an At-Large Trustee

 

Newark, NJ – May 28, 2019 – Kathleen Barnett Einhorn, partner at Genova Burns LLC, was sworn into the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey State Bar Association on May 16.

Einhorn was selected to serve as an at-large trustee, along with two other new members, during the Association’s meeting in Atlantic City on Wednesday, May 15.

“I am honored to be included in this distinguished group of professionals who were selected to join with the NJSBA as members of the Board of Trustees,” Einhorn said. “I am looking forward to stepping into this new role to help further the mission and work of this longstanding organization.”

In her role as a partner at Genova Burns LLC’s Newark, NJ office, Einhorn serves as chair of the Complex Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice groups.

Throughout the legal profession, Einhorn has been lauded for serving as a mentor to female associates. She was past chair of the New Jersey Bar Association’s Women in the Profession group and has helped direct scholarships to students who are pursuing law degrees in the state, through the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association.

At Genova Burns, she is a member of multiple practice areas, including the Ethics & Compliance and Procurement Law and Government Contracts & Bid Protest Litigation practice groups. She is an expert in all aspects of litigation, having tried numerous cases and appeals in state and federal courts. She has also handled many arbitrations, mediations and other alternative dispute proceedings.

Einhorn manages cases from their commencement to trial and oversees a team of lawyers and paraprofessionals. She and her team concentrate on general commercial litigation and counseling, with an emphasis on complex contract and business disputes; fraud and misrepresentation; insurance and employment defense; First Amendment & Constitutional rights claims; civil extortion claims; intellectual property rights; insurance coverage; defamation claims; real estate law; internet law; construction disputes and procurement law, government contract compliance and bid protests.

She has previously served as an investigator for the Supreme Court of New Jersey District Ethics Committee from 2006 to 2010.

Einhorn holds a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and earned a law degree from New York Law School.
