Genova Burns LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Stawicki, R. Edward Stone, and Michael Thurm, recent law school graduates, joining the firm as Associates, pending bar admission. Each brings exceptional academic achievements, diverse professional experience, and a commitment to excellence that will strengthen the firm’s multidisciplinary practice.

Kevin Stawicki joins the firm following experiences in the Counsel’s Office of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy as an Eagleton Fellow, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, and the Office of the Counselor to Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. at the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to law school, Kevin was a legal affairs journalist covering litigation and employment law.

R. Edward Stone previously clerked at Genova Burns, contributing to matters in bankruptcy, political compliance, and civil litigation. A Rutgers Law School graduate, Ed distinguished himself for his leadership in the American Constitution Society and the Labor and Employment Law Society, as well as for his outstanding academic record at Kean University. He is also an accomplished athlete, active in the firm’s “Battle of the Barristers” softball team and community events.

Michael Thurm brings nearly a decade of corporate experience from BNY Mellon, JPMorgan Chase, Accenture, and BP America before pursuing his legal career. While in law school at Drexel University’s Kline School of Law, Michael gained practical experience in commercial litigation as a Summer Associate with a New Jersey Firm and as a Legal Extern with a nationally recognized group. He also served as an editor of the Drexel Law Review.
