Three Jersey Girls: Park, Quijano, and Reynolds-Jackson

NEWARK - Assemblywoman Annette Quijano (D-20) reveled in the speedy process by which advocates, lawmakers. and Governor Mikie Sherrill, moved to get three critical Constitutional protection bills signed into law.

"You live the immigrant experience, and it has become an issue," said Quijano, of the continuing deadly abuse of power by President Donald J. Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agency).

Not herself an immigrant, Quijano is the daughter of tomato pickers from Puerto Rico.

A veteran legislator, speaker pro tempore of the Assembly and a driver of drivers' licenses for undocumented workers, Quijano especially thanked her colleagues for their work with her on this legislation:

Assemblywoman Ellen Park

and Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds Jackson.

"Three Jersey girls," said the Assemblywoman.

Assemblywoman Park: Lauded by Assemblywoman Quijano for her work.
