GHASSALI CAMPAIGN RAISES OVER $300,000 IN FIRST FUNDRAISING QUARTER
Montvale Mayor Posts Impressive Fundraising Haul in His Race Against Gottheimer
Montvale, NJ – Mayor Mike Ghassali, Republican candidate for U.S. House in New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District, released an impressive fundraising number of $301,000 in his first fundraising quarter since entering the race in July.
The Ghassali campaign has raised money from within New Jersey and a number of states across the country.
“I am grateful for the outpouring of support and engagement by people all across the country who are investing in our race to take back the 5th congressional district. Our message is resonating and I am looking forward to continuing this momentum as we work to defeat Josh Gottheimer next November,” said Ghassali.
In addition to the fundraising number, over 150 new volunteers have signed up to be a part of the Ghassali campaign, in addition to the over two dozen endorsements from elected officials.
Ghassali Campaign Manager Rich Castaldo said, “Our fundraising numbers paired with our grassroots support will make us a formidable campaign as we take on Josh Gottheimer and his DC allies like Nancy Pelosi and AOC. Too many campaigns in the past have focused solely on dollars and cents and neglected grassroots activists and volunteers across the district—we are not going to repeat that mistake.”
Ghassali has piqued national interest in his race given his background as a Syrian immigrant who emigrated to the United States in the 1980’s but came out against the sanctuary city policy that Governor Phil Murphy has recently instituted.
