NEWARK, Aug. 21, 2019 – The Greater Newark Convention and Visitors Bureau (GNCVB) in partnership with United Airlines, will actualize the celebrated “Three Perfect Days: Newark” article that was featured in the March 2019 issue of Hemispheres Magazine with a nationwide contest, “Win Three Perfect Days in Newark.”
Hemispheres Magazine is United’s award-winning onboard publication and the story was complemented with the Hemispheres Travel Show inflight video which featured many of the finest restaurants and tourist destinations in New Jersey’s largest city.
The lucky winner will receive two round-trip tickets from United Airlines and a 4-day/3-night stay at the TRYP by Wyndham Newark Downtown Hotel. They will enjoy dining at places such as Marcus B&P, the celebrated restaurant of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson; and, Catas, a popular Spanish fare restaurant located in the heart of the city’s Ironbound neighborhood. The winners will also have the chance to sample delicious cocktails at Newark’s authentic All Points West Distillery and enjoy lively entertainment at LaRouge. The winners will also receive complimentary tickets to visit the GRAMMY Museum Experience at Prudential Center, a concert performance at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) and the Newark Museum.
“After the Three Perfect Days story came out our city received many tourists saying that they had no idea that we had so much to offer,” said Karin Aaron, President & CEO of the GNCVB. “We always welcome new visitors who will serve as ambassadors to Newark and share their great experiences while visiting. This contest will give us the chance to introduce more excited and returning visitors.”
The contest signals the continuation of the great partnership between GNCVB and United Airlines.
“United Airlines is thrilled to partner with the GNCVB to bring to life the iconic Three Perfect Days series from our inflight magazine, Hemispheres, to put a spotlight on the incredibly rich culture, food and arts community that is located within our hub city of Newark,” said Jill Kaplan, President of New Jersey / New York for United Airlines. “Newark is a vibrant city going through an incredible renaissance and we are extremely proud to be able to share that with our customers who fly in and out of this extraordinary city we call home – Newark, NJ.”

Contemporary Newark — which is home to an international airport, a large railway hub, and the nation’s third-largest port — offers first-class entertainment venues, a wide array of dining options, and captivating art and cultural scene.
