Governor-elect Murphy, N.J. House Democrats, to Denounce Catastrophic GOP Tax Plan
NEWARK, N.J. – On Monday, November 13, Governor-elect Phil Murphy and Democratic members of the New Jersey House delegation will discuss the state’s potential impact due to passage of the House Republican’s tax plan. The plan is estimated to cost New Jersey families thousands of dollars a year. A recent New Jersey Policy Perspective report found that the bulk of the tax cut would go to the top 5 percent of wealthy households in New Jersey. Additionally, the plan limits or removes deductions for state and local taxes, student loans, medical expenses, and more.
